Hello families! Hope everyone is jumping into the fall festivities and enjoying every bit of this season. I sent home parent/teacher conference times on Thursday. If the times are not to your convenience, please let me know and we will work out another day/time. :D 

 

We are starting our Pen Pal writing this week. The kiddos are so excited for their Pen Pals and cannot wait to start writing to them. For the entire year, they will be writing a couple times a month with a high school class in Nampa. My hope is that they can meet via Skype at the end of each semester with their Pen Pals. 

 

Last week they started their first draft on "If I was Corduroy". We will be editing/revising and working towards our final draft this week and perhaps next week. As a class we will be PUBLISHING our book through Studentreasures Publishing. We are all beyond excited for this opportunity! We will get a free hardback copy as a class and families are more than welcome to purchase one as well! More information regarding the book will be sent out. 

 

Reading: We are going into Unit 2-Let's Explore. The next five weeks will be stories relating to nature and the outdoors.

Math: This week will be a wrap up of Module 2 and their test will be on Tuesday. Module 2 will start on Wednesday.
